Scagliotti's great-grandparents immigrated to the United States from Italy through Ellis Island. Her family moved to Mandeville, Louisiana at a young age. She was enrolled in the Tchefuncte Middle School talent and drama program when she was five. When Scagliotti was eleven, she was working with an acting coach who advised her to try auditioning for pilot season in Los Angeles. She booked a pilot for an upcoming sitcom with Chevy Chase, which was shot in New York. Scagliotti moved to Los Angeles for her acting career. Scagliotti was a film student at New York University, though she didn't complete her degree. Later, she obtained an associate's degree in Interdisciplinary Music Studies from Berklee College for Music's Online Program. She is the first cousin to Kevin Pfeffer (lead singer of Five Minutes to Freedom) and Alex Scagliotti (National Wakeboard Champion).
