Alodia became involved in cosplay after she contacted other video game and anime fans on an online fan-based forum known as Anime Club. Inspired by her fellow members of the forums, she began cosplaying in 2003 at the age of 15, participating in various competitions throughout Metro Manila. The first time she cosplayed a character was a Priestess from Ragnarok Online in Ragnalaunch in Glorietta. [6] She began to attract attention when she was awarded 3rd place at the 2003 C3 Convention as Gun Mage Rikku of Final Fantasy X-2. The result was her and Ashley Gosiengfiao, her younger sister appearing on the cover of Issue 14 Culture Crash Magazine, a manga magazine in the Philippines. In the years since she has been cosplaying a number of characters from more than 40 anime, movies and video game titles including: Witchblade, G.I. Joe K-On! Paradise Kiss, Evangelion and Final Fantasy X-2. She is a multi-awarded cosplayer and is invited to participate in conventions, as well as judge competitions in the local and international arenas. She began her judging career at the age of 18.
