Tal was born and raised in Herzliya, Israel. Her father Ami Tal is a computer professional who is of Sephardic Jewish (Turkish-Jewish) descent, whose original surname was "Mizrahi". Ayala Sabat, born Sabat is an attorney. She is Ashkenazi Jewish (Polish–Jewish). Both parents were born in Israel. Her parents divorced at the age of 9. She has two sisters and two half-sisters from her father's relationship. was a student at the Thelma Yellin High School in Givatayim, Israel, majoring in theatre.She is Jewish and has stated that she is a "spiritual person". She served in the Israel Defense Forces's theatre for military. Following her military service, Tal began her professional career with an old videotape for children in which she played the role of an evil witch. Following that, she was featured in an advertisement for laundry detergent. She later was the main character in Lihiyot Kochav, an Israeli film. Tal was offered roles on two Israeli television shows during filming the film. She was able to accept both. The first was Tzimerim (a soap opera about a family who runs an hotel) and the other was HaPijamot ("The Pyjamas") which is a comedy about a band trying to succeed in real life. She took part in the first three seasons, and later, she was an actor in the guest role, which gave her the opportunity to showcase her talents as a musician. While she was the main character only in the first three seasons, she appeared in the final season for several episodes.
