Amanda Bearse

 Bearse studied acting under Sanford Meisner at New York City’s Neighborhood Playhouse. [citation neededThe character of Amanda Cousins, the first character she played on the All My Children's soap opera from 1982 until 1983 was her debut success. She appeared in several independent and B-movies throughout and after this time, including Protocol (1984), Fright Night (19both 1985), and Fraternity Vacation (19both 1985). Her biggest break was in 1987, when she was cast as Marcy Rhoades (later Marcy D'Arcy) on the cult Fox TV sitcom Married... with Children until the show's finale in 1997. Bearse appeared in the films Here Come the Munsters and The Doom Generation in the mid-1990s. Bearse started directing television when she appeared on Married...with Children. She was the director of 31 episodes between 1991 and 1997. She was also the director of episodes on Reba, Mad TV, Nick Freno: Licensed Teacher, Malcolm & Eddie, Pauly, The Tom Show, The Jamie Foxx Show, Dharma & Greg, the Veronica's Closet Guys, a Girl and a Pizza Place, Jesse (1999; starring the Married...with Children costar Christina Applegate), Jessie (2011), and Ladies Man. She directed The Sperm Donor in 2005 which was a pilot on NBC starring Maggie Wheeler. Bearse as well as Rosie O'Donnell teamed up to direct The Big Gay Sketch Show in the year 2006. The show debuted on Logo April 24 on April 24, 2007.
