Amanda Laura Bynes (born April 3 in 1986) is an American actress who is known for her work on television and film throughout the 1990s and 2000s. [1][2] Bynes started her career as an infant actress, appearing on the Nickelodeon sketch comedy series All That (1996-2000), and had a breakthrough starring in the spin-off series The Amanda Show (1999-2002) and receiving several accolades. Bynes was a teenager when she played Holly Tyler on the WB sitcom "What I Like About You" (2002-2006). She also made her film debut with the comedic "Big Fat Liar" (2002). She was the star of numerous films that were successful, like the comedy What a Girl Likes (2003), the animated film Robots (2006) as well as the comedy-drama Easy A (2010). Her work has been praised for her roles in the comedy sports She's the Man (2006) and the musical Hairspray (2008). She has also battled drug abuse in her personal life, and has had to face legal challenges. In 2010 she announced an absence from acting for a while due to personal issues. In 2018, Bynes expressed interest in getting back into acting for television. She was in a conservatorship from August 2013 to March 2022.
