 Adriana Lima[5] (Portuguese pronunciation: [adri'ana 'limaborn 12 June 1981) is a Brazilian model, well-known for her role as an Victoria's Secret Angel between 1999 and 2018. [7] She was the longest-running model, and called "the most valuable Victoria's Secret Angel" in the year 2017. Also, she is known for being a spokesmodel and model for Maybelline cosmetics, and also for her Super Bowl and Kia motors commercials. At age 15, Lima was crowned Ford's "Supermodel of Brazil" competition, and took second place in the Ford "Supermodel of the World" competition prior to joining Elite Model Management in New York City Lima is currently being ranked by models.com as one of the "New Supers". Lima is the second highest-paid model on the planet from 2014. She ranked 4th on Forbes list of the top models to earn money in 2012, and she earned $7.3 million in one year. In 2013, she came in 3rd place and in 2014, she was 2nd with earnings of $8 million. With earnings of $9 million, she was 2nd in the year 2015. [9] In 2016, she remained in second with the same amount of US$10.5 million.Lima has served as brand ambassador for the clothing brand Desigual based in Barcelona, Spain, for the Beachwear collection of Italian brand Calzedonia and also for the collection of ready-to-wear from Italian brand Sportmax. She is currently an ambassador for Puma and Maybelline and Chopard.
