She was awarded an Emmy in 2010 for her performance as an actor on Law & Order Special Victims Unit. Her acting and singing career spans over six years. Her initial role was described as the woman Elvis Presley. She has a powerful and vibrant contralto voice. The 1961 Top 20 hit song was an instant hit and was an album that charted in the year 1964 as well as 1979, both disco smashes. She released an album of gospel in 2001, which was praised by critics and also an album of Christmas in 2004.
