Bob Dylan, legally Robert Dylan, was born Robert Allen Zimmerman on May 24, 1941. Dylan is an American musician and singer. Dylan is frequently considered to be one of the most influential songwriters of all time. The career of Bob Dylan spans over 60 years. The most well-known work of his goes back to the 1960s , when songs such as "Blowin' In the Wind" (1963) as well as "The Times are a-Changin' (1964) were a hit songs of the civil rights movement as well as antiwar movements. His lyrics during this period incorporated a range of political, social, philosophical, and literary influences, defying pop music conventions and appealing to the burgeoning counterculture.Following his self-titled debut album in 1962, which comprised mainly traditional folk songs, Dylan made his breakthrough as a songwriter with the release of The Freewheelin' Bob Dylan the following year. The album features "BlowinIn the Wind" and the multifaceted and rich thematic "A Hard Rain's A-Gonna Come Fall". A lot of his songs were influenced by folk music from the past. In 1964 Dylan released his politically controversial The Times They are a-Changin' and the more contemplative and lyrically abstract Another Side of Bob Dylan. Dylan's use of amplified electrically guitars in 1965 and 1966 was a source of controversy for folk fans who were adamant about keeping it simple. Dylan recorded three of the most significant and influential rock albums from the 1960s: Bringing It All Home, Highway 61 Revisited (both 1965) as well as Blonde on Blonde (1966). The song, which lasted six minutes "Like the Rolling Stone" was released in the year 1965, pushed the creative and commercial boundaries of pop music.
