Hugh Jackman

 Hugh Michael Jackman, born 12 October 1968 [1] in Australia, is an actor. He started his career in the theatre and on television. In 2000 the role he played was James "Logan" in a role which was the first Australian actor to portray the character of Wolverine/Wolverine on 20th Century Fox X-Men. The part was a huge success and earned him the Guinness World Record (2000-2017) for the "longest time as a live-action Marvel characters" and was broken in 2021. Jackman has been awarded numerous times including two Tony Awards and Emmy Awards as well as an Emmy Award, a Grammy Award, and a Golden Globe Award. Jackman was named a Companion of Australia in the Queen's Birthday Honours 2019 for his contributions to the performing arts and to the international community. Jackman has appeared in a variety of films throughout his career. This includes the romantic comedy Kate & Leopold (1901) and the action-horror Van Helsing (2004) and the period romance Australia (2008). Jackman was also named a Companion of the Order of Australia in the 2019 Queen's Birthday Honours, for his the contribution to performing arts and to the international community. Jackman was awarded the Golden Globe Award and the Academy Award for Best Actor for his performance as Jean Valjean, in Les Miserables. The actor also won the Grammy Award for Best Soundtrack Album for The Greatest Showman. Jackman also voiced characters in animated movies Flushed Away and Happy Feet (both in 2006), Rise of the Guardians (2012) and Missing Link (2019).
