Kate Capshaw

 Capshaw was born Kathleen Sue Nail on Fort Worth, Texas. She is the daughter of Beverley Sue (nee Simon), who is a beauty and travel agent, and Edwin Leon Nail (an airline employee). Capshaw moved to St. Louis, Missouri, at the age of five and graduated from Hazelwood Senior High School in 1972. Capshaw graduated from the University of Missouri in education. She was also a part of Alpha Delta Pi. She taught special education at Southern Boone High School, Ashland, Missouri and Rock Bridge High School, Columbia, Missouri. [citation needed] In January 1976 she got married to Robert Capshaw, a marketing manager, and they shared one child, Jessica Capshaw. They later divorced in the year the year 1980. But she retained the surname Capshaw, which she used to identify herself professionally after becoming an actor.
