Kate Capshaw

 Capshaw was born Kathleen Sue Nail on Fort Worth, Texas. She is the daughter of Beverley Sue (nee Simon), who was a beauty therapist as well as a travel agent as well as Edwin Leon Nail (an airline employee of the airline). When she was of five, she relocated to St. Louis, Missouri and graduated from Hazelwood Senior High School. Capshaw earned a degree from the University of Missouri in education. She was also a part of Alpha Delta Pi. She taught special education at Southern Boone High School, Ashland, Missouri and Rock Bridge High School, Columbia, Missouri. She got married to Robert Capshaw, a marketing manager, in January of 1976. The couple had one child together, Jessica Capshaw. However they divorced in the year 1980. She kept her name Capshaw as her name in the professional world even after she was an actor.
