 Katharine Hope McPhee [1] was born on March 25, 1984 and is an American actor, singer-songwriter and performer. Her fame began in the month of May 2006 when she was named the fifth season's second-placed contestant. She was a part of Shark Night 3D and The House Bunny. She was among the main characters in Smash in the role of Karen Cartwright. She played Karen Cartwright, one the main characters of Smash between 2014 and 2018.
