Michelle Marie Pfeiffer, also known as 'faIf@r' was born on April 29 in 1958. She is an American actress. She's a prolific performer , with screen credits that span more than four years. She was among the most well-known sex icons in Hollywood during the 1980s and 1990s and was one of the most financially successful actors in Hollywood. Many awards have been presented to her which include the Golden Globe Award as well as an award from the British Academy Film Award. She was also nominated for three Academy Awards and a Primetime Emmy Award. In 2007, she received an honorary star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Pfeiffer briefly studied court stenography prior to deciding to go into acting. She started her acting career in 1978 , with a few TV and film appearances. In 1982, she got her first big part in Grease 2, which failed both critically and commercially. She was fed up of being portrayed in roles that weren't challenging to attractive females. In 1983 she was cast in the role of Elvira Hancock as a gangster moll in Scarface. Success was further achieved through the roles in Married to the Mob (1988) and The Witches of Eastwick ( 1987) in which she was nominated for her first of six consecutive Golden Globe Awards. Dangerous Liaisons (1988), and The Fabulous Baker Boys (1989) brought her two consecutive Academy Award nominations for Best Supporting Actress and Best Actress and Best Actress, respectively. The latter was also nominated for the Golden Globe Award.
