Abdul Aziz Al Ghurair bd Lzyz lGryr was born on July 1, 1954. He is the chairman of Mashreq and director of the Abdullah Al Ghurair Group of Companies. It is among the biggest Middle East business groups with operations across over 20 countries. His roots in business are more than a half century. Forbes estimates that Al Ghurair's net worth was US$4.8 billion. This is the richest person of 420th place on the planet. Al Ghurair was an industrial engineer and earned an honors degree at California Polytechnic State University. In 1977 the year he was a part of Mashreq. He was employed in various capacities up to 1988, when he took over responsibility for the international operations of banks. It included the opening of branches in New York, the United States of America, London, UK, Bahrain, Qatar and Egypt. In 1989, he was appointed Executive Director, and then promoted to CEO the following year.
