Elizabeth Hurley

 Hurley briefly appeared on television in 1988 as a girl in "Last Seen Wearing", an episode of the detective show Inspector Morse. Part of the episode was shot at Reading Blue Coat [citation neededHurley was a student at Reading Blue Coat Sonning in Berkshire. It is believed to be her first television role. She also appeared as Rosie Japhet on an episode of Rumpole of the Bailey (Rumpole and the Barrow Boy) in the year. Hurley was the lead character in Christabel, a telecast drama which ran for four episodes in the latter half of 1988. Following her appearance on John Cleese's The Human Face (2001) she hosted the first season of Project Catwalk, a British reality TV show that aired which aired on Sky 1 in 2006. Marcelle D'ArgySmith, a former editor of Cosmopolitan magazine, criticized Hurley for her role as a host, commenting that Hurley did not have any experience in fashion. She wore a dress and was seen at premieres. Dylan Jones, GQ's fashion editor, has defended Hurley as an individual who was "immersed in the world of fashion and style as an a-lister." "[citation requiredShe was dismissed after a single series, because her bosses believed she was too slack. Hurley filmed a guest part in the role of Veronica Cale in the pilot series of the NBC show Wonder Woman. The show was not taken on by the network. Hurley was named in July of 2011 that she would be joining Gossip Girls' fifth season for a five-episode run. Her character, Diana Payne, was described by the series' executive producers as "a sexy, smart, self-made media mogul and all-around force to be reckoned with", whose "entrance on the Upper East Side will change the lives of all our characters--including, and especially, Gossip Girl herself
