After taking part in the 1996 Mister World contest, in Istanbul, Turkey, Gabriel began modeling at the age of 18. He was the first runner up. In 1997, Gabriel joined the band Kairo as a replacement for Eduardo Verastegui. Gabriel was a Kairo member in 1997 and replaced Eduardo Verastegui. He also worked alongside Jaime Camil, Maria Sorte and Ana Layevska in this telenovela. In 2008, he joined the Lucero Suarez. The show was produced by Querida Enemiga as the main character along with Ana Layevska, Jorge Aravena and Maria Rubio.In 2009, he participated in Sortilegio that was directed by Carla Estrada, in which he played Fernando Alanis, before touring the United States with the play Sortilegio, the show.In 2011 he starred in La Fuerza del Destino, produced by Rosy Ocampo, playing Camilo Galvan, one the main characters. The telenovela also featured David Zepeda, Sandra Echeverria, Laisha Wilkins and Juan Ferrara.In 2012, he starred in Un Refugio para el Amor with Zuria Vega in the role as Rodrigo Torreslanda.In 2013, he was featured as the protagonist (alongside Gloria Trevi) in Emilio Larrosa's television show: Libre para amarte.His last starring role was as Maximiliano Bustamante in the universally popular telenovela, Yo no creo en los hombres where he was also praised by critics.
