Reilly sent an email her Prime Suspect producers to request the production team to consider. Helen Mirren played the lead in Prime Suspect. Six months after, she auditioned for take part in "Prime Suspect 4: Inner Circle", which was telecast on ITV on May 7 in 1995. She was a part of the episode Bramwell which was a period drama TV series that was filmed in the United Kingdom. Six years after, Mirren starred alongside her in Last Orders. She was later given several parts in the English stage. She appeared in four shows together with Terry Johnson: Elton John's Glasses (1997), The London Cuckolds (1998), The Graduate (2000), and Piano/Forte (2006). Seventeen Johnson composed Piano/Forte and said that she was a huge fan of Kelly. "Reilly said she believed that Karel Reisz was the person who taught her the most about acting. He was her director in The Yalta Game, Dublin 2001. She said "He was my teacher. Without the play it's impossible I would have been able to play Miss Julie. "Reilly believed that she was being cast in comedy roles as a stereotype and sought a part in Last Orders directed by Fred Schepisi, who played the role of young Amy. The actress was offered a role in Royal Court's 2001 reruns of Sarah Kane's Blasted. The Times described her as "theatrical Viagra". [9] In 2002, Reilly starred with Audrey Tautou (Russian Dolls) in the role of Wendy who was an English Erasmus student in the film L'Auberge Spanishe. In the 2005 sequel Les Poupees russes she reprised her role as Wendy in the comedic film L'Auberge Spanishe (The Spanish Apartment).
