Lil Wayne

 Dwayne Michael Jr. is also known as Lil Wayne (born September 27, 1982) is an American artist and rapper. When he was 12 years old, he was signed to Birdman's record label Cash Money Records. He was the youngest member of the label. In the following years, Wayne was the flagship artist for Cash Money Records before ending his contract with the company in June 2018. [3] Wayne was the primary artist for Cash Money Records from that point from then on. He resigned in June of this year. They recorded True Story in 1995, that was released by B.G. (at that time, Lil Doogie). Wayne was, at the time, was known as Baby D. 8 Wayne as well as B.G. quickly joined the southern hip-hop group Hot Boys, with Cash Money labelmates Juvenile and Turk in 1997. It included the smash singles "A Milli", T-Pain's "Got Money" and "Lollipop" with Static Major. Wayne's seventh studio album, Rebirth was released in February 2010. The album experimented with the rap genre and received generally negative reviews. The album was released a month later in March of 2010, Lil Wayne began serving an eight-month prison sentence in New York after being convicted of criminal possession of weapons in connection with an incident in July 2007. The album that he released as his eighth studio album I Am Not a Human Being (2010) was released while he was in prison as well as his 2011 album Tha Carter IV was released after his release. The album's first week in America, Tha Carter IV sold 964,00 copies. After multiple delays, his twelveth album Tha Carter V came out in 2018. After multiple delays, Wayne's 13th album, Funeral was released in 2020. Wayne has been awarded five Grammy Awards, eleven BET Awards as well as four Billboard Music Awards and two MTV Video Music Awards. On September 27, 2012 Wayne became the first male musician to surpass Elvis Presley with the most entries on the Billboard Hot 100, with more than 109 songs. [14]1515 Lil Wayne is currently the chief executive officer (CEO), of Young Money Entertainment.
