Allison Beth Raskin (born June 20, 1989) is an American writer comedian, director, YouTuber, podcaster, and mental health advocate. Before joining BuzzFeed Video as a writer she resigned with her friend Gaby Dunn in 2015 to join the comedy channel "Just Between Us". Raskin has also published work for Elle, NBC News Think and Splinter News. She together with Dunn published a joint novel called I Hate Everyone But You on September 5, 2017. She graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the University of Southern California. In the year 2020, she enrolled in an advanced program in clinical psychology with an emphasis in the field of Marriage and Family Therapy at Pepperdine University. Raskin is vocal about her struggle in the field of mental health. At the age of four she was diagnosed as having obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD). She suffered from anxiety and depression. The doctor prescribed her medications until the age of 21 and then had a break of seven years which included therapy. The last time she took medication was when she was 28 and was faced with backlash for weight gain.
