Allison Beth Raskin was born June 20, 1989. She is an American writer, comedian, director, comedian and YouTuber. Prior to joining BuzzFeed Video as a writer she resigned with her best friend Gaby Dunn in the year 2015 to work on their comedy YouTube channel "Just Between Us". Raskin has written for Elle, NBC News Think, and Splinter News. She and Dunn published a novel in collaboration with Dunn entitled I Hate Everyone but You on the 5th of September 2017. She graduated with an undergraduate Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the University of Southern California. In 2020, she started the clinical psychology program, that focuses on the field of Marriage and Family Therapy at Pepperdine University. Raskin has been vocal about her mental health issues. At the age of four she was diagnosed with obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD). She was afflicted with anxiety and depression. The medication she took was until the age of 21, Then she took a break of seven years and also received therapy. When she turned 28, she went back on medication, and faced backlash over weight gain due to the side effects.
