Kay who was a lover of professional wrestling since childhood, began training with Mathew Pritchew as well as Bill Martel at Blue Collar Wrestling Alliance in Detroit, Michigan in July 2008. Six months later she made her debut against Shavonne Norrrell on December 28. [2][6] Kay took on Norrell for six months and ended in a feud that lasted throughout 2009. Kay later began competing against male wrestlers. In the year 2010's finals the BCWA National Championship was vacated, and Kay entered the tournament to determine who would be the next champion. She made it to the semi-finals but she was defeated by Scotty Primo, who was the eventual winner. Kay tried to win the championship many times until the closure of BCWA in mid-2011.
