Cristiano Ronaldo

Ronaldo began his professional career at Sporting CP. He then signed with Manchester United in 2003 at the age of 18. In his debut season, he took home the FA Cup. Ronaldo would later take home three times in a row: the Premier League title, the Champions League, and the FIFA Club World Cup. When he was 23 he received the first Ballon d'Or. Ronaldo was the subject of the most expensive transfer to association football when he was signed by Real Madrid in 2009 in the amount of EUR94 million (PS80 million), where he won 15 awards, including two La Liga titles, two Copa del Rey, and four Champions Leagues, and became the club's all-time top goalscorer. He was awarded back-to-back Ballons d'Or in 2013 and 2014, then again in 2016 and in 2017 and finished third three times ahead of Lionel Messi, his perceived professional rival. He signed for Juventus in 2018 at EUR100 million (PS88million) that was the highest transfer price for an Italian club and for a player aged over 30. Before returning to Manchester United, he won two Serie A titles and two Supercoppa Italiana trophies.
