Donna Douglas

 Douglas moved to New York City in order to make a name for herself as a showbiz actor. She began her career as an illustration model for toothpaste advertisements. [6] In the year 1957, she appeared as named the "Letters Girl" on the NBC show The Perry Como Show. She also appeared as the "Billboard Girl" on NBC's The Steve Allen Show in 1958. New York newspaper reporters and photographers presented her with the "Miss Byline" crown. The crown was worn by her in CBS' The Ed Sullivan Show. Douglas was featured in a 1958 episode of The Phil Silvers Show, "Bilko and the Crosbys" and was acknowledged with the role of Doris Bourgeois. She also was in the show's episode. Hal B. Wallis was then cast in the role of Marjorie Burke in the 1959 film drama Career which starred Anthony Franciosa and Dean Martin. The musical comedy Li'l Abner (1959), was followed by her role as secretary in the romantic comedy Lover Come back (1961) which starred Rock Hudson, Doris Day, as well as Doris Day. She also appeared on television in the 1950s and 1960s, such as the Twilight Zone show "Eye of the Beholder", (1960). [8] In the four episodes on CBS's detective show Checkmate, she played the role of Barbara Simmons. U.S. Tightrope as well as Marshal, The Adventures of Ozzie and Harriet and Bachelor Father, Adam-12 and Route 66 are among her other credits. Douglas was also featured in Thriller season 1 episode 16 "The Hungry Glass".
