Elizabeth Victoria Montgomery, April 15th, 1933 until May 18, 1993 [22 American actress who worked across five years of stage, film and television. Her most well-known role was the role of Samantha Stephens, the witch in the TV show Bewitched. The actress was the daughter of Robert Montgomery who was an actor director, producer, and actor. Her career began with Robert Montgomery Presents in the 1950s. In 1956, she made her Broadway debut in Late Love, which won her an award called the Theater World Award. Her most well-known role was her part in the ABC sitcom Bewitched in which she played Samantha Stephens. The show was awarded five Primetime Emmy Awards, and was awarded four Golden Globe Award nominations for her work on the show. Montgomery continued to make a name for herself on television, appearing in a variety of films, including A Case of Rape (1974) which starred Ellen Harrod, as well as The Legend of Lizzie Borden (1975) which starred Lizzie Borden. Both roles earned her additional Emmy Award nominations.Throughout her career, Montgomery was involved in various forms of political activism and charitable work.
