John Edmund Mulaney, born on August 26, 1982, is an American actor, comedian as well as a writer and producer. From 2008 until 2013, Mulaney was an Saturday Night Live writer. He wrote a variety of sketches and characters. The most notable contribution was Stefon that was co-created by him and Bill Hader. Mulaney has returned as host numerous times since then. Mulaney is also well-known for his stand-up comedy, including stand-up comedy specials The Top Part (2008), New in Town (2012) and The Comeback Kid (2015). In the year 2018, he won the Primetime Emmy Award in Outstanding Writing for a Variety Special. [1][2][3] Mulaney is also known for his Netflix children's musical comedy special John Mulaney & the Sack Lunch Bunch (2019)He was the creator and star of the short-lived Fox sitcom Mulaney (2014-2015), a semi-autobiographical series about his life. Mulaney is most well-known for his character George St. Geegland, the comedy duo of Nick Kroll. Nick Kroll and Mulaney appeared on Broadway as well as on television in Oh, Hello on Broadway (2016). Mulaney is the co-executive producer, writer and director, as well as occasionally appearing as an actor on Documentary Now! (2015-present). He also plays Andrew Glouberman on the Netflix animated series Big Mouth. His film debut was in 2018 , when the character he played was Peter Porker / Spider-Ham, in the animated film Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse.
