Seth Aaron Rogen, /'roUg@n/ was born April 15, 1982 in Vancouver. He is a comedian, actor and film maker from Canada. He began his career in Vancouver as a stand-up comic. After a brief stint on Juddah Apatow's series Freaks and Geeks in Los Angeles He was then offered a role on Apatow’s sitcom Undeclared. Apatow also hired Rogen to write. After being hired as a staff writer on the final season of Da Ali G Show, Apatow helped Rogen toward a film career. As a writer on staff, Rogen was nominated for a Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Writing for a Variety Series.His first film appearance was in a small role in Donnie Darko (2001). Rogen was cast in a supporting role and was credited as a co-producer in Apatow's debut directorial effort, The 40-Year-Old-Victorian (2005). Universal Pictures subsequently cast him as the lead in Apatow's movies Knocked Up (2007) and Funny People (2009). Rogen together with Evan Goldberg, his writing collaborator, wrote the films Superbad (2007) and Pineapple Express (2008). He also directed This Is the End (2014). Rogen was also a star in all four films. Rogen was also in the sitcom Neighbors (2014) and its 2016 sequel, The Disaster Artist (2017 and 2019), and An American Pickle(2020).
