In the 1990s, Khaled was first recognized as a host for 99 Jamz. He then became a DJ for Terror Squad to promote their live performances. After earning production credits for Terror Squad's music, Khaled released his debut studio album Listennn... the Album in the year 2006, and was certified gold. The album was followed by We the Best (2007) featuring the top single "I'm So Hood". The two albums that followed -- We Global (2008) and Victory (2010) and Victory (2010) were released shortly after he established the record label We the Best Music Group. Both of his albums made it to the top ten spots on the US Billboard 200. The latter contained the hit single "Allie Do Is Win" and helped Khaled rise to international fame. His seventh and sixth albums, Kiss the Ring (2012) and Suffering from Success (2013) each charted within the top ten of the Billboard 200. His eighth studio album "I Changed a Lot" (2015) was the highest-rated album, reaching the 12th spot. In 2015 and 2016, Khaled was gaining worldwide recognition as a celebrity on the media, due to his activity in social media. The album was due to be released in 2016. his ninth studio album Major Key (2016), which gained critical and commercial success; it debuted at number one the Billboard 200, was certified gold and earned him the Grammy nomination for Best Album of Rap.
