Jussie Smollett

 Jussie Smollett (born June 21st, 1982)is an American actor and singer. His acting career began as a child actor, debuting in The Mighty Ducks (1992). Smollett was the character Jamal Lyon, musician, in the Fox drama series Empire in the year 2015. The role was well-received for its positive portrayal of a gay person with black hair on television. In January of this year, Smollett attempted to stage an hate crime in Chicago against himself and then made false police reports about it. Smollett was convicted in December 2021 of five charges of disorderly conduct. He was sentenced to 150-days in the county jail in March 2022. As his case is in the process of appeal, he has been granted bail and been granted bail.
