Pete Hegseth

 Peter Brian Hegseth (born June 6, 1980) is an American TV host as well as an author.Hegseth is an Army National Guard officer and the former executive director of the political advocacy groups Vets For Freedom and Concerned Veterans for America. The Koch brothers have funded the conservative advocacy group The Koch Brothers. The group has been advocating for the privatization of the Department of Veterans Affairs. Hegseth was originally thought to be the chief of the United States Department of Veterans Affairs under the Trump administration. However, David Shulkin was elected in January 2017. In 2016, he emerged as a strong advocate and ally of Donald Trump's presidential bid and also served as occasional advisor to Trump throughout his presidency. According to reports, he persuaded Trump that three American soldiers convicted or accused of violations of the law in relation with the shooting of noncombatants Iraq could be granted pardons. Hegseth, who was a platoon leader at Guantanamo Bay in his military career, has defended the treatment of inmates detained there
